DLS Backpack Food Program

This is an amazing, ongoing outreach within our church community for students who face food insecurity on the weekends and over holiday breaks. 

Each week this program supplies "backpacks" of non-perishable, easy to prepare food items. The students take home a plastic bag full of food on Friday after school.

How can you get involved? 

 Pray for DLS, for the students and families that receive this ministry.

 Donate food - see the list of ideas for possible food donations. (click here)

 Give a financial contribution toward the program.

 Serve with your time and energy and pack "backpacks" 

Food donations may be dropped off at Deshler Lutheran School or St. Peter Lutheran Church. 

At St. Peter, please leave items on the table in the Narthex in the container(s) marked "DLS Backpack Program." 

Monetary donations may be made to Deshler Lutheran School.
